Paralleli Lives is the first single by Andy Oppenheimer and Mark Warner in their collaborative project, Touching the Void and is from the album "Love, Longing and Loss".

Andy Oppenheimer is best known as the singer/songwriter with pioneering 1980s synth-pop duo Oppenheimer Analysis. Andy joined forces with leading electronic music producer Mark Warner of the ground-breaking ‘80’s electro band Sudeten Creche to form Touching the Void in 2010 after working together in Berlin.

The powerful song Parallel Lives is a minimalist master piece which speaks directly to the heart. In 2006 Mark wrote and named the song expanding a simple but powerful idea by Paul Carlin (1983) to which Andy added his very personal lyrics in 2010.

With Highbury Fields Andy’s style moves into a different dimension where he creates the perfect song partner to Parallel Lives. In 2011 Mark worked Andy’s melody and lyrics into the powerful and very personal song you now hear with the help of international musicians and artists Andy Hickey, Grady Johnson, Don Weilogroch and Stephan Groth

Parallel Lives is poignant testimony to personal experiences and the courage of others.
